Group Rides

The Norwood Cycling Club’s focus is to provide the best racing possible for it’s members. We have a club coach, Dave Gomer who is available for advice. We run club rides from time to time and they are promoted on the website and on Facebook. The club rides vary in length but aim to cater to all members of the club and are run to fit around the racing schedule throughout the year. The rides listed are existing rides that each have their own philosophies and trying to understand the groups goals and ambitions will help you determine whether the bunch is right for you. For example some may wish to ride at 35kph on the flat, whilst others are intensive sessions that average 50kph. Each ride generally has a core group of attendees and in some instances can react to a unknown fresh group of riders attending so please join groups with due discretion! Look over the rides that realistically best suit you, join a group, and give it a try, remember training is meant to be meaningful and moreover FUN!

Check our Facebook page for updates on club group rides. Rides are held when there is a gap in the race calendar. Dave Gomer, NCC Coach, will be at most NCC training rides, and willing to accompany any Juniors (13 years or older) on a shorter ride, again indicated on Facebook and Norwood Cycling Club website.
